Geeky Gifts: Atari Drinking Glasses

April 20th, 2010

A while ago I broke the 3rd and last glass in a set I really liked. Now I need new, cool, drinking glasses, and these look just perfect!

These are pint-sized Atari Arcade Glasses. Relive the best days of your life, the days when pure joy was just a high score away and you could save the world for a mere twenty-five cents.

This set of four pint glasses features artwork from four classic Atari games: Asteroids, Centipede, Tempest, and Missile Command. Drink your orange juice at breakfast with Asteroids, enjoy a cold refreshing soda at lunch with Centipede, and then throw back a couple brews with your Player 2 in the evening with Tempest and Missile Command. It may not be the old days, but life is still pretty damn good.

Geeky Gifts: Light Up Your Room with a Lightsaber

April 8th, 2010

We all want a lightsaber, that much is obvious. You didn’t realize, though, that you also want one to light up your room! This very cool Star Wars Lightsaber Room Light has 7 different light colors and can be mounted on the wall. The colors and lighting can be changed via remote control.

This geeky gadget will be available soon from BigBadToyStore.

I wonder what would Obi-Wan Kenobi say of the use of a Lightsaber as a lamp.

Use the light, Luke!

Geeky Fun: The TV Poltergeist

March 27th, 2010

More like Geeky Harassment, actually.

Devices that interfere with TV transmissions aren’t new. There are quite a few annoying gadgets out there, that will sabotage TV watching.

This one, the TV Poltergeist, is especially cruel, though.

Annoy the crap out of friends and enemies by possessing their TV so it turns on and off at random intervals every 5-20 minutes, 24 hours a day, for weeks on end.

Perfect for interrupting lame sporting events, obnoxious video games, moronic sitcoms, and poorly written movies! Using the TV Poltergeist couldn’t be any simpler. Hide the TV Poltergeist somewhere in the same room as a TV and turn it on. Aim the LED toward the victim’s television. Sit back, keep a straight face and enjoy the chaos.

They’re Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere…

Get your hands on a TV Poltergeist and have some FUN!

February 23rd, 2010

There are many times on the road, in which you want to tell the other drivers what you REALLY think of them. Some just roll the window and spit it out, but most of us just simmer in anger and do nothing when other drivers cut us off. For all of us geeks, here’s a great solution: Drivemocion.

The Drivemocion affixes to your rear window and is operated by a remote control by the driver’s seat. Want to apologize for cutting someone off accidentally? Press a button and the sign says: SORRY. Want to tell the person behind you that you find them attractive and may possibly rear end the person in front of you because you keep staring at your rear-view mirror? Press a button and get a smiley face with hearts for eyes.

With the Drivemocion’s 16 messages and variety of facial expressions, you can tell the world behind you exactly how you feel. Now, keep your eyes on the road!

Geek Toys: BluAlert Bluetooth Bracelet

February 2nd, 2010

BluAlert Bluetooth Bracelet

You need to know if someone wants to talk to you, and you need to have the ability all the time. We know. We understand.

You know how it is – your cellphone is sitting at the bottom of your bag, or perhaps lost in the folds of your jacket pocket. With the noise of the environment around you, you’ll never hear it ringing. Maybe it’s your girlfriend saying she wrecked your car, your mom informing you of an unexpected inheritance, your roommate telling you that zombie Ed McMahon’s waiting for you at your apartment with a giant novelty check, or Jessica Alba asking you out on a date (hey, it could happen). The bottom line is, when your phone rings, you had better know it, ’cause you never know who’s calling.

The BluAlert bracelet uses Bluetooth technology to buzz discretely on your wrist when your phone rings. Even in the loudest room, or the most boisterous dance-floor, you won’t miss it when BlueAlert goes off.

Even better, BluAlert acts like a security device! Once paired with your phone, if it should suddenly find itself more than 5 meters away, BlueAlert buzzes. Not only will you never miss a call, you’ll never lose your phone.

Check it out! BluAlert Bluetooth Bracelet
