Firefox 3.6 is available for download, and looks like Mozilla has done some real work this time.
The new version of Firefox, 3.6, is about 15% faster than Firefox 3.5, according to tests run by Computerworld. Firefox now renders JavaScript three times faster than Opera 10 and about four times faster than IE8. This data places Firefox as the 3rd fastest browser on the net – after Safari and Chrome. According to StatCounter Global Stats, 30% of internet users worldwide use Firefox for web browsing. Internet Explorer has about 55% of the market.
